Application Privacy Policy

This page outlines the Application Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of user information in applications (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) provided by the Yokohama Programming Academy (hereinafter referred to as “the Academy”). Please review this Policy before installing the App and use the App only after understanding its contents.
In this Policy, “user information” refers to information related to user identification, behavioral history on communication services, and other information generated, used, or stored on the user’s smartphone in association with the user, which the Academy acquires based on this Policy.
User Information Utilized by the App
The App utilizes the following three types of user information:
- Advertising Display
The App may transmit certain user information for the purpose of displaying advertisements. The App uses the following services for advertising and provides user information to these companies. Please refer to each company’s privacy policy for details on the user information they collect and their purposes: - Access Analysis
The App collects usage data through access analysis tools. Specifically, it uses Google Analytics to send screen IDs and user information to Google Analytics when screen transitions occur. - Inquiries
When users make inquiries via email, the following user information is embedded in the email body and sent:- Name and email address
- Device name, OS version, and other device information (screen size, pixel density, available heap memory)
- Status of add-on purchases
Purpose of Use
User information is used for the following purposes:
- To deliver and display third-party advertisements
- To create statistical data processed into a format that does not identify individuals, related to the Academy’s services
- To provide information and respond to inquiries regarding the App
Disclaimer
- The Academy assumes no responsibility for any damages resulting from changes, interruptions, or termination of the App’s services.
- The Academy is not involved in the user’s environment for using the App and bears no responsibility for it.
- The Academy does not guarantee that the App will meet the user’s specific purposes, expected functions, commercial value, accuracy, usefulness, compliance with applicable laws or internal regulations, or that it will be free from defects.
- The Academy does not guarantee compatibility of the App with all information devices and acknowledges that OS updates may cause malfunctions. The Academy does not guarantee that such issues will be resolved through program modifications.
- Users acknowledge that changes in terms and operational policies of service stores like AppStore or GooglePlay may restrict the use of the App.
- The Academy is not liable for any direct or indirect damages incurred by users through the use of the App.
- The Academy is not responsible for any loss of opportunity, business interruption, or other damages (including indirect damages and lost profits) incurred by users or third parties, even if the possibility of such damages was known.
- The Academy reserves the right to decide on the deletion of user posts based on requests from other users or third parties and is not responsible for any consequences arising from such decisions.
- The above disclaimers do not apply in cases of intentional or gross negligence by the Academy or when the contract is considered a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act.
- Even in such cases, the Academy is not liable for damages arising from special circumstances.
- The Academy’s liability for damages is limited to the amount received from the user in the month the damage occurred.
- The Academy is not responsible for disputes or troubles between users.
- Users are responsible for compensating any damages caused to other users or third parties and must resolve disputes at their own expense and responsibility.
- If the Academy is claimed for damages by third parties due to user actions, the user must resolve the issue at their own expense and responsibility.
- Users must compensate the Academy for any damages caused by their actions, including litigation and attorney fees.
- The Academy does not guarantee the accuracy of information posted by other users and is not responsible for any disputes arising from such information.
